Bean Casserole

1 lb lean ground beef (or turkey or chicken)

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/3 cup brown sugar

1 tsp dry mustard

1 can pork & beans, undrained

1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed

1 can navy beans, undrained

1 can green lima beans, drained

1/2 lb chopped bacon

1 tsp salt, optional

1/2 cup catsup

2 tsp cider vinegar


Brown the beef, bacon and onion, drain well. Add all the remaining ingredients, except beans, to the meat mixture and mix well. Add beans and mix lightly to combine.

Spray a large casserole dish or pan with nonstick cooking spray. Pour mixture into the pan and bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
